PR BEKASI - A man was reported to have been evicted by the head of the mosque management for wearing a mask in Indonesia.
Head of the mosque management, Ustaz Abdul Rahman, is banning religious activities in that mosque if the worshipper insists on using a mask.
Ustaz Abdul Rahman believes that the corona doesn't exist in the mosque because of the power of dua.
Therefore, Ustaz Abdul Rahman told that man, Roni, to remove his mask if he wanted to worship in the mosque or leave.
This incident occurred at the Al Amanah Mosque, Jalan Kp Tanah Apit RT.02 RW.09 Medan Satria Village, Medan Satria District, Bekasi City, Indonesia.
Roni was evicted by Ustaz Abdul Rahman from that mosque when he was about to do the prayer at the Zuhr time, or about 2.00 PM in local time.
The Mayor of Bekasi, Rahmat Effendi, regretted the eviction happened during the pandemic, which also happened during Ramadan.
